NOD Cloud has officially launched as a joint venture between Network One Distribution, a Romanian distribution company, and Belgium-based Be-Cloud Group. The new entity aims to accelerate the growth of IT resellers and managed service providers in Romania by offering comprehensive Microsoft Cloud, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity solutions.
Network One Distribution, led by Romanian entrepreneur Iulian Stanciu, brings deep market knowledge and established relationships within Romania’s IT channel ecosystem. Be-Cloud Group, based in Belgium, contributes European infrastructure capabilities and an existing Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider network that extends across multiple markets.
The collaboration represents a strategic move to consolidate cloud adoption among smaller and mid-sized technology service providers who lack the resources to develop these competencies independently. By combining both partners’ expertise, NOD Cloud positions itself as a bridge between Microsoft’s solutions and the regional channel partners who serve enterprises and mid-market organizations throughout Romania.
Expanding beyond traditional distribution
Andrei Militaru commented on the company’s strategic direction, noting that “in recent years we have developed NOD beyond the traditional distribution model, investing in competencies and specialized businesses in high-growth areas such as cloud, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.” This statement underscores Network One Distribution’s pivot from conventional reseller support toward providing specialized services in emerging technology sectors.
The launch reflects broader industry trends across Central and Eastern Europe, where managed service providers increasingly require structured support to deliver modern cloud infrastructure and security services. Rather than simply distributing products, NOD Cloud will focus on enablement and support for its partner ecosystem.
Positioning in the Romanian market
Romania’s cloud services market has experienced steady growth over the past several years, driven by digital transformation initiatives across public and private sectors. However, many local IT service providers have struggled to build internal capabilities in cloud management and security without significant capital investment.
NOD Cloud’s offering addresses this gap by leveraging Be-Cloud’s existing infrastructure while tailoring support and go-to-market strategies specifically for Romanian partners. The joint venture will handle technical enablement, deal support, and specialized training to help resellers and MSPs build sustainable cloud service businesses.
The partnership underscores how regional technology distributors are increasingly forming cross-border collaborations to compete with larger global players. By combining local market expertise with international infrastructure and Microsoft partnerships, smaller distributors can create competitive advantages in underserved markets.
The European startup and technology ecosystem continues to see significant activity in cloud services infrastructure and managed service platforms, particularly as organizations accelerate digital transformation initiatives post-pandemic. Ventures like NOD Cloud demonstrate how established regional players are adapting their business models to capitalize on persistent demand for cloud modernization across the continent.
