Estonian hydrogen fuel-cell maker partners with Italian marine startup to decarbonise yacht power systems
PowerUP, an Estonian hydrogen fuel‑cell generator maker, teamed up with Italy’s H2Boat, a spin‑off from the University of Genoa that specializes in marine hydrogen production and storage. The partnership aims to deliver a fully integrated system that produces hydrogen from renewable electricity, stores it safely on board, and converts it back into quiet, emission‑free electricity for yachts, eliminating the need for noisy diesel generators.
