Picnic Unveils Redesigned Electric Delivery Fleet With Extended Range and Improved Safety Features

Picnic rolled out a new version of its iconic electric delivery carts in Haarlem, beginning a gradual replacement of its fleet of nearly 5,000 carts operating in the Netherlands, Germany and France. The new carts feature a larger load capacity, longer range, heated seats, modular components, enhanced safety systems and remote software adjustments for weather conditions.

The Dutch online supermarket Picnic achieved a positive EBITDA of €4 million and positive operating cash flow in the Netherlands for the first time, while its overall 2025 results showed a net loss of €272 million due to continued investment in growth, including new distribution centres in Germany. Revenue grew 24% to €1.9 billion and the company now serves 3.6 million customers across the Netherlands, Germany and France.
