French Deeptech Startup Gallium Defense Raises €7.1M to Scale Counter-Drone Radar Technology
French startup Gallium Defense emerged from stealth with a €7.1 million seed round led by Keen Venture Partners and backed by 360 Capital, Omnes Capital and Polytechnique Ventures. The company is developing the GDS‑10, a software‑defined X‑band AESA radar that leverages telecom‑grade components to detect FPV drones up to 10 km at a fraction of traditional system costs. Founded in Paris in April 2026 by former BCG consultants, Gallium Defense aims to become a specialist radar supplier for critical infrastructure and military users, planning to expand its team from 15 to about 50 employees and to open commercial orders in early 2027.
