German Deep-Tech Startup INLEAP Photonics Secures €20 Million Seed Round for Laser Counter-Drone Systems

INLEAP Photonics, a German deep-tech company developing laser-based counter-drone technology, has raised approximately €20 million in seed funding to expand manufacturing capabilities and accelerate market deployment of its systems. The funding round was led by UVC Partners, with participation from HTGF, Balnord, Sentris, and Scale Capital.

The Berlin-based startup has developed ultra-fast laser beam steering systems designed to neutralise unmanned aerial vehicles, addressing growing security concerns for military installations and critical infrastructure operators across Europe. The company’s technology represents an advancement in counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) solutions, which have become increasingly relevant as drone proliferation raises defence challenges for governments and essential services.

According to Marius Lammers, a company representative, “Our technology has reached the market and we are seeing strong order intake. The capital injection will fund multiple strategic priorities for the startup.
