Copenhagen PropTech Startup Cortas Raises €1.47 Million to Reshape Property Management Market

Cortas, a Copenhagen-based property management software company, has closed a €1.47 million pre-Seed funding round to accelerate its expansion across Denmark’s property investment sector. The round was led by PSV Tech, with participation from JRNY Capital, EIFO, and several experienced founders from successful Danish ventures.

The startup aims to consolidate fragmented property management services and software solutions into a unified platform powered by artificial intelligence. Rather than forcing property investors to juggle multiple vendors and systems, Cortas positions itself as a comprehensive alternative to the established property management operators that currently dominate the Danish market.

Building for Demanding Investors

The company plans to deploy the newly secured capital toward three strategic objectives: refining its AI-native technology platform, expanding its team, and acquiring early-stage customers among professional property investors in Denmark. This customer-focused approach reflects the founders’ direct experience within the property investment space.

Christian Dalsgaard, Investment Manager at PSV Tech, offered insight into the firm’s backing of the startup. “Cortas won’t be the only company trying to rethink property management. What matters to us is that we believe this team has the potential to succeed. Christian and Frederik combine tremendous drive and ability to execute with first-hand experience from the property investor’s side. They have the industry insight and the right network to deliver on their ambition of serving large, demanding property investors from day one,” Dalsgaard stated.

The participation of founders from Flatpay and Spirii in the funding round signals confidence from entrepreneurs who have previously navigated growth and scaling challenges within the Danish startup ecosystem. Their involvement suggests that established business leaders see merit in Cortas’s approach to addressing operational inefficiencies in property management.

Market Context

The property management software sector has attracted increasing attention from European venture investors as digitalization accelerates across real estate and facilities management. While numerous startups have attempted to modernize the industry through standalone tools or point solutions, Cortas’s ambition to create an integrated platform distinguishes it within a crowded competitive landscape.

The pre-Seed stage designation indicates that Cortas remains early in its development trajectory, having secured initial validation from experienced investors before pursuing larger growth rounds. The funding composition—combining institutional backing from PSV Tech with strategic investment from entrepreneur founders—reflects a blended approach common among Scandinavian startups seeking both capital and industry expertise.

Cortas now enters a critical phase of team expansion and product development as it works to establish market traction among Danish property investors. The startup’s trajectory will likely serve as a test case for whether a unified property management platform can successfully disrupt an industry traditionally dominated by incumbent players across Northern Europe.
