Querio, a London-based startup founded in 2024, has announced the completion of a $5 million seed funding round to accelerate development of its AI-driven analytics platform. The round was led by BMW i Ventures, with participation from Haatch, Arāya Ventures, Forum Ventures, and Secways.
The company plans to deploy the capital primarily toward advancing its core technology, positioning itself as an alternative to established analytics vendors that have dominated the market for decades.
Rethinking Analytics for the AI Era
Querio’s founding team identified what it views as a fundamental inefficiency in how modern enterprises manage data analysis. According to Rami Abi Habib, Co-founder and CEO of Querio, the current landscape reflects outdated architectural decisions: “For thirty years, analytics tools have kept a company’s logic inside the vendor’s product, where it’s hard to move and hard for AI to work with.”
This assessment points to a broader challenge facing enterprises attempting to integrate artificial intelligence into their existing data infrastructure. Legacy analytics platforms, built before large language models and advanced AI systems became practical tools, often create barriers rather than bridges for companies seeking to automate analysis workflows.
Building for AI Integration
The startup’s timing reflects broader industry trends. As enterprises increasingly seek to augment human decision-making with AI capabilities, the limitations of vendor-locked analytics systems become more apparent. Companies face friction when attempting to move their analytical logic between platforms or when trying to leverage AI models to interpret their own data.
Querio’s approach appears focused on creating a more modular, portable architecture that prioritizes compatibility with modern AI systems. The platform’s design considers how machine learning models might interact with business logic, rather than treating AI integration as an afterthought.
The funding injection provides the company with resources to refine its technology stack, expand its engineering team, and prepare for market entry in a competitive landscape that includes both established incumbents and newer challengers.
European AI Infrastructure Gains Another Player
The funding round underscores continued investor confidence in European AI infrastructure companies, particularly those targeting enterprise workflows. BMW i Ventures’ participation is notable, suggesting automotive and industrial applications may be part of the startup’s strategic vision.
London’s position as a leading hub for AI and data infrastructure development continues to attract investment, with startups in this space benefiting from proximity to both technical talent and major corporate customers seeking modernization of their analytics capabilities.
Querio joins a cohort of European startups attempting to reimagine foundational enterprise software for an AI-native world, where portability, interoperability, and machine readability of business logic are increasingly central concerns for technology buyers.
