Logibot, a Belgian startup developing AI-enhanced warehouse robots, has raised €1.4 million in seed-stage funding to accelerate its European expansion and deploy its first commercial units at client sites.
The funding round was led by BeamBerlin, with participation from RDY Ventures, PMV, and the BAN Business Angels network. The capital will support the rollout of Logibot’s initial robots to warehouse operators and the assembly of a second robot unit at the company’s facility in Zellik, Flemish Brabant.
Addressing logistics flexibility gaps
Logibot positions itself as a robot-as-a-temp agency platform, offering warehouse operators an alternative to traditional robotics contracts. The startup layers artificial intelligence onto human-like robotic systems to create flexible automation solutions that adapt to existing warehouse operations.
According to Louis Verspreeuwen, the company identified specific pain points in the warehouse automation market. “They don’t know where to start, they don’t want to be locked into a contract with a single robot supplier, they’re looking for solutions that fit existing operations without turning everything upside down, and they want models with variable, predictable costs, without tying up capital in heavy equipment,” Verspreeuwen noted.
This approach addresses a significant gap in the logistics sector. Many European warehouses struggle with labor shortages and operational bottlenecks, yet hesitate to commit to expensive, long-term robotics implementations. Logibot’s model offers scalability without the traditional capital expenditure burden, allowing facilities to adjust automation levels based on demand fluctuations.
European momentum in warehouse tech
The funding announcement reflects growing investor interest in robotics and AI-driven logistics solutions across Europe. Warehouse automation has become increasingly critical as supply chain pressures mount and labor availability remains constrained across the continent.
BeamBerlin’s involvement signals confidence in the Belgian startup’s approach. The Berlin-based venture capital firm has established a track record backing deep-tech and robotics companies addressing industrial challenges. The participation of regional investors PMV and the BAN Business Angels network indicates strong local support for Logibot’s mission.
The startup’s focus on flexible, scalable robotics aligns with broader European logistics trends. As warehouses seek to modernize operations while managing costs, solutions that don’t require full operational restructuring hold particular appeal.
With this funding, Logibot will prioritize proving its platform through real-world deployments at customer sites before pursuing broader market expansion. The assembly of a second robot in Zellik will enable the company to accelerate deployment timelines and gather operational data crucial for refining its AI systems.
The investment underscores Belgium’s emerging position as a hub for industrial automation innovation, complementing the country’s established logistics and supply chain expertise.
