Viviotex, a Swedish artificial intelligence company focused on clinical documentation, has announced a partnership with Norway-based Opus Systemer to integrate its VivioDent solution directly into Opus Dental, a practice management system used across the Nordic region.
The integration makes Viviotex’s AI-powered documentation capabilities available to more than 3,500 dental clinics in Norway, Sweden, and Iceland that operate on the Opus Dental platform. Under the partnership, dentists will be able to generate real-time clinical notes and coding directly within their existing workflow without requiring separate software or additional steps.
Streamlining Dental Documentation
The collaboration addresses a persistent challenge in dental practices: the time-consuming nature of clinical documentation. By embedding VivioDent into Opus Dental, the partnership aims to reduce administrative burden on practitioners while maintaining accuracy in patient records and billing codes.
Ahmed Luay, representing Viviotex, described the significance of the deal: “An important milestone for Viviotex. Together with Opus Systemer, we are bringing AI‑assisted documentation into the daily workflow of dentists in Norway, Sweden and Iceland,” he said.
The integration allows dental professionals to capture clinical information more efficiently during patient consultations. Rather than manually typing notes after appointments or using dictation systems, practitioners can leverage AI to assist with documentation in real time, potentially freeing up time for patient care and reducing end-of-day administrative tasks.
Expanding Nordic Presence
The partnership represents a significant expansion for Viviotex within the Nordic healthcare market. Opus Systemer’s established presence in the region—with its platform already deeply integrated into thousands of dental practices—provides Viviotex with direct access to a substantial user base across three countries.
For Opus Systemer, the integration strengthens its platform by adding advanced AI capabilities that enhance the value proposition for existing clients. Dental practice management systems have increasingly become focal points for digital transformation in healthcare, and the addition of AI-driven documentation tools reflects broader industry trends toward automation and efficiency.
Broader European Context
This partnership exemplifies growing momentum in European healthtech, where AI-powered documentation solutions are gaining traction across various medical specialties. Swedish startups have established themselves as notable players in this space, with several companies developing AI tools designed to reduce administrative workload for healthcare professionals.
The Nordic region, in particular, has shown strong adoption of health technology innovations, supported by robust digital infrastructure and favorable regulatory environments. Partnerships between specialized AI solution providers and established practice management platforms represent an increasingly common model for bringing emerging technologies to healthcare practitioners at scale.
