Italian Secondhand Marketplace Subito Reports 15 Million Transactions and Half Million Tonnes of CO₂ Savings
In an interview at an Adnkronos sustainability panel, Subito highlighted that it sold roughly 15 million second‑hand goods last year, including an average of one car every three minutes. The company estimated that these transactions avoided the emission of about 518,000 tonnes of CO₂, equivalent to the carbon absorption of 23 million trees, underscoring the platform’s role in promoting a circular economy in Italy.
