Neuraspace, a Portuguese deeptech company specializing in space technology, has closed a €15.6 million ($17 million) Series A financing round to accelerate development of its artificial intelligence-enabled Space Domain Awareness and Space Traffic Management platform.
The funding round was led by Lince Capital, with participation from Explorer Investments and Armilar Venture Partners. Portugal’s Recovery and Resilience Plan also contributed to the round, underscoring government backing for the company’s growth trajectory.
Founded in 2020, Neuraspace has developed technological solutions designed to address the growing complexity of space operations as satellite constellations expand and orbital traffic intensifies. The company’s platform combines AI capabilities with optical sensing infrastructure to provide real-time monitoring and management of space assets.
Expansion Plans Across Multiple Fronts
The newly secured capital will be deployed across several strategic areas. Neuraspace plans to further develop its core AI platform, accelerate autonomous mission operations capabilities, and expand its proprietary optical sensing infrastructure. Additionally, the company intends to invest in NeuraspaceDEF, a specialized offering targeting government and defence customers seeking enhanced space surveillance and operational capabilities.
Chiara Manfletti, CEO of Neuraspace, characterized the investment as a pivotal moment for the organization. “This investment marks the beginning of Neuraspace’s next phase of growth as we expand Europe’s sovereign capabilities in space domain awareness while delivering the AI-enabled operational services required by the next generation of commercial, institutional and defence missions,” Manfletti said.

The financing reflects growing recognition of space infrastructure challenges facing Europe and broader Western defense and commercial interests. As satellite operators manage increasingly crowded orbital environments and regulatory frameworks tighten around space traffic management, demand for advanced monitoring and collision avoidance solutions continues to rise.
