Aon, the world’s second-largest insurance broker, has appointed Portuguese executive Pedro Penalva as Chief Executive Officer of its Latin America region, effective July 1, 2026. Penalva brings substantial experience from his tenure at Aon, where he has spent more than 15 years in progressively senior roles. Most recently, he served as CEO of Enterprise Clients for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, a position overseeing major corporate clients across one of the company’s largest markets. His track record includes serving as CEO for Iberia, Africa, and Israel, as well as leading Aon Portugal during a critical period for the company’s southern European operations.
