Italian Corporate Training Startup Gamindo Raises €1.4 Million in Seed Round

Gamindo, an Italian startup specializing in interactive corporate training, has closed a €1.4 million ($1.5 million) Seed funding round to accelerate product development and international expansion.

The round attracted a diverse investor base combining venture partners and prominent angel investors. Club degli Investitori, Vento, Doorway, and Zanichelli Venture participated alongside notable individuals including the four co-founders of Bending Spoons—Luca Ferrari, Matteo Danieli, Francesco Patarnello, and Luca Querella. The funding also secured backing from Luca Maestri, former Chief Financial Officer of Apple, as well as Riccardo Zacconi, founder of King.com, and figures from the EdTech sector including Claudio Erba and Alessio Artuffo of Docebo, plus Duccio Vitali, CEO of Alkemy Group.

Addressing Corporate Training Frustrations

Gamindo’s platform targets a persistent problem in workplace learning: disengagement. The company’s CEO and co-founder, Nicolò Santin, articulates the core challenge: “People don’t hate corporate training. They hate wasting time. When content genuinely speaks to their job, asks them to make decisions, and lets them immediately put what they’ve learned into practice, the whole experience changes completely.”

This philosophy underpins Gamindo’s approach to interactive training content. Rather than passive video consumption or lengthy modules, the platform emphasizes decision-making scenarios and immediate practical application, attempting to bridge the gap between learning and workplace implementation.

Growth and Expansion Plans

The startup has already established traction with its offering, serving more than 50 global brands across various sectors. The fresh capital will support three primary objectives: expanding the team with specialized talent, accelerating product development, and driving commercial growth in international markets. The company intends to maintain what it describes as a “lean, high-talent-density” organizational structure while scaling operations.

The timing of this funding round coincides with Gamindo’s launch of a new artificial intelligence-training vertical designed specifically for workplace environments. This expansion reflects broader industry trends toward AI-integrated learning platforms and suggests the company is positioning itself within the rapidly evolving corporate learning technology landscape.

Broader European Context

The investment demonstrates continued confidence in European EdTech and corporate training solutions. Italy, traditionally underrepresented in venture funding discussions, continues to produce startups attracting quality investor participation. The composition of Gamindo’s backer list—blending early-stage venture firms with successful technology entrepreneurs and senior executives from established companies—reflects a maturing Italian startup ecosystem where experienced operators actively support emerging ventures.

The company joins a cohort of European training platforms addressing workplace learning challenges through technology innovation, competing in a space where demand for scalable, engaging solutions remains substantial across multinational enterprises and mid-market organizations seeking to modernize their learning and development functions.
