Barcelona Fashion Tech Startup Artiso Raises €3 Million to Scale AI Operating System for Design Teams

Artiso, a Barcelona-based artificial intelligence startup, has secured €3 million ($3.2 million) in a fully equity pre-Seed round to accelerate development of its operating system designed for fashion teams. The funding round was led by Criteria Venture Tech, with participation from Swanlaab Venture Factory, Bynd Venture Capital, business angel David Tomás, and Nicolaj Reffstrup through Look Up Ventures.

The newly founded company, established in 2025 by former executives from fashion retailer Mango, is developing an integrated software platform that connects all stages of fashion design and production. According to the company, the system provides a centralized workspace where fashion teams can manage creative processes, access brand archives, and leverage artificial intelligence to streamline workflows.

Addressing Fragmented Workflows

Artiso’s founders identified a persistent challenge within the fashion industry: creative and production teams operate across disconnected tools and systems that do not communicate effectively. The platform aims to consolidate these disparate processes into a single operating system that understands each brand’s unique aesthetic, customer preferences, and historical archives.

Sarah Iglesias Hiller, one of the company’s founders, explained the motivation behind the venture: “I spent years leading creative teams that had to orchestrate every step of a collection across tools that never spoke to each other. So we built the operating system we always needed: one that knows each brand’s archive, its customers and its taste, and that is already running inside fashion companies today. AI is changing how every collection is imagined, made and shown, and with Artiso, creativity, not complexity, defines fashion’s next era.”

Expansion Plans

The €3 million injection will be deployed across several strategic areas. Artiso plans to accelerate the development of its core operating system, expand its workforce across both fashion and technology functions, and facilitate enterprise deployments with mid-size to large fashion brands. The company is targeting customers across Europe, North America, and Asia.

The timing reflects growing investor interest in artificial intelligence applications within specialized industries. Fashion technology has emerged as an area where AI can directly impact efficiency, from pattern recognition and trend forecasting to supply chain optimization and design acceleration.

Broader Ecosystem Momentum

Artiso’s funding comes as European venture capital continues to demonstrate confidence in AI-focused startups solving domain-specific problems. The pre-Seed round indicates investor appetite for teams addressing inefficiencies in established industries rather than pursuing consumer-facing applications. Barcelona’s position as a growing tech hub, combined with its proximity to major fashion centers, positions the city as a logical base for companies bridging design and technology sectors. The involvement of investors with experience in both venture capital and the fashion industry suggests a strategic approach to supporting companies that understand both their market and their technology.
