Manchester Fintech Crediflow AI Secures €1.8 Million to Automate Commercial Loan Processing

Crediflow AI, a Manchester-based fintech startup, has raised €1.8 million in seed funding to accelerate development of its artificial intelligence platform designed to streamline commercial loan processing. The round was led by PXN Ventures’ NPIF II – PXN Equity Finance fund, with participation from Haatch and a group of angel investors.

The newly secured capital will be deployed across several strategic priorities for the year-old company. Crediflow AI plans to accelerate development of its core platform, expand its engineering and product teams, onboard additional banks and specialist lenders to its network, and extend automation capabilities across the complete loan lifecycle.

Addressing Manual Inefficiencies in Lending

Commercial lending has traditionally relied on manual processes that create significant bottlenecks for financial institutions and delays for businesses seeking funding. Crediflow AI’s platform tackles this challenge by automating key stages of loan analysis and decision-making, substantially reducing the time required to process applications.

According to the company’s positioning, the technology can compress analysis timelines from multiple days to just minutes, creating efficiency gains for lenders while accelerating funding access for businesses of all sizes. This capability addresses a broader market pain point where manual underwriting and credit assessment processes often slow lending decisions despite advances in financial technology.

Joe Ball, senior investment associate at PXN Ventures, articulated the investment thesis in a statement: “Businesses of all sizes and across all sectors often rely on commercial finance for a multitude of reasons, but the processes involved in granting this finance are often largely manual, making the process inefficient and slowing down lending decisions. By automating this area of the sector, Drey and the Crediflow AI team are not just supporting lenders but also removing barriers for companies that need funding to grow.”

European and US Expansion on the Horizon

With this funding injection, Crediflow AI intends to expand its lender partnerships and platform reach across Europe and the United States. The company’s approach of targeting both traditional banks and specialist lenders suggests a strategy to capture diverse segments within the commercial lending market, from mainstream financial institutions to alternative finance providers.

The fintech sector across Europe continues to attract investor interest, particularly in areas addressing operational inefficiencies within traditional financial services. Automation-focused solutions in lending have gained particular traction as financial institutions seek to improve processing speed, reduce operational costs, and maintain competitive positioning amid increasing digitalization expectations from both corporate and institutional clients.

Crediflow AI’s seed-stage success reflects growing confidence among institutional investors that AI-driven automation can deliver measurable improvements to credit assessment and loan administration functions. The funding round positions the startup to validate its platform capabilities with a broader institutional customer base while building out the technical and commercial infrastructure necessary for scaled adoption across multiple markets.
