French AI Sales Platform Zeliq Raises €7 Million in Seed Extension Round

Zeliq, a Paris-based artificial intelligence company focused on sales prospecting, has secured €7 million in seed extension funding to accelerate the development of its platform and strengthen its presence across European markets.

The round was led by The Moon Venture, with participation from venture investor Julien Jean through JJCapinvest, Freelance.com founder Sylvestre Blavet, Ora Global, Cleo Ventures, and a collection of business angels and family offices. The injection of capital brings Zeliq’s total funding to €21 million since its inception.

Positioning AI Agents in Sales Operations

Zeliq operates in the competitive sales enablement software market, where it positions itself as an AI-native alternative to traditional point solutions that have fragmented the sales technology landscape. The company develops what it terms an “Agentic Revenue Workspace,” combining AI agents with prospecting capabilities designed to streamline workflows for sales professionals.

The fresh capital will fund several strategic priorities, including acceleration of its AI infrastructure and the continued development of its agent-based platform. The company plans to double its product and technology teams, signaling an aggressive approach to product development and engineering talent acquisition. Additionally, Zeliq intends to deepen partnerships with major customer relationship management platforms while continuing its expansion into European markets beyond its French home base.

The Future of AI-Assisted Selling

Speaking on the funding announcement, Zeliq founder Dorian Ciavarella offered perspective on the direction of sales technology. “For ten years, sales teams have been stacking SaaS tools. The result is more complexity, more time spent switching between tools and less time spent selling,” he stated. “The next generation of sales platforms will be built around AI agents capable of executing end-to-end, but always under human supervision. The best salespeople will not be replaced by AI, they will work with it.”

This articulation reflects a broader industry conversation about the role of AI in professional services. Rather than positioning automation as a replacement mechanism, Zeliq emphasizes augmentation—equipping sales professionals with intelligent agents that handle routine prospecting tasks while keeping humans in control of client relationships and strategic decisions.

Broader European Startup Context

The funding round arrives amid increased investor attention to artificial intelligence applications in enterprise software. European startups have attracted significant capital for AI-powered solutions across various sectors, though sales and revenue operations remain particularly competitive spaces. The participation of both early-stage venture investors and established venture firms in Zeliq’s round reflects confidence in both the founding team and the market opportunity for intelligent sales tools.

The company’s European expansion strategy also aligns with a growing trend of venture-backed startups built in continental Europe attempting to scale across multiple markets rather than immediately seeking North American validation. With established operations in France and plans for broader European presence, Zeliq represents this emerging approach to geographic expansion and market development.
