London Fintech Quartz Launches AI-Powered Personal Finance Platform With £2.75 Million Pre-Seed Round

Quartz, a newly launched London-based fintech startup, has secured £2.75 million in pre-seed funding to bring its artificial intelligence-driven personal finance platform to UK consumers. The round was led by Daphni, with participation from Outward VC, K Fund, and individual investors Philippe Gelis and Gilles BianRosa.

The startup, which officially launched in 2025, has developed a platform designed to give users a consolidated view of their financial assets while offering personalized guidance through an integrated AI assistant. According to the company, the solution aims to simplify wealth management and remove barriers to financial planning that have traditionally been reserved for affluent clients.

Building a Pan-European Team

Quartz has assembled a 10-person team distributed across London, Barcelona, and Porto, drawing on talent with significant experience in the fintech sector. The founding team includes executives with backgrounds from Revolut and N26, two of Europe’s most prominent fintech firms.

André Silva, speaking on behalf of the company, outlined the broader mission behind the platform: “Small differences in how your money works compound into enormous differences in how your life goes and that shouldn’t be reserved for a small niche of people. Compounding is the most powerful force in finance and we’ve assembled a 10 people strong team across London, Barcelona and Porto to get millions of people on the right side of it,” Silva stated.

Market Expansion and Product Development

The £2.75 million funding will support several key initiatives, including product development, the integration of advanced AI assistant capabilities, team expansion, and the company’s market launch across the United Kingdom. The capital injection positions Quartz to build out its platform while establishing its presence in what remains a competitive fintech landscape.

The startup’s approach combines financial consolidation tools with AI-powered recommendations, targeting consumers who currently lack access to professional wealth management services. By automating guidance and reducing friction in financial planning, Quartz seeks to democratize wealth management across the UK and eventually expand throughout Europe.

European Fintech Context

The funding announcement reflects continued investor interest in personal finance solutions across Europe, despite a slowdown in overall fintech investment compared to previous years. With major players like Revolut and N26 dominating the payments space, newer entrants are increasingly carving out niches in wealth management and financial advisory services. Quartz’s emergence, backed by experienced venture capital firms like Daphni, signals that investors remain confident in the potential for innovation within European fintech, particularly in segments addressing consumer financial planning and asset management.
