e2e, a Polish-US startup formerly known as TesterArmy, has raised €7 million in seed funding to develop an open-source AI-powered software testing framework. The round was led by Credo Ventures, with participation from KAYA, Point Nine, Baobab Ventures, Script Capital, and individual investors Marcin Śukowski and Oscar Salazar.
The Warsaw-based company plans to deploy the capital across several strategic priorities, including expanding its engineering team, growing its open-source community, and building infrastructure capable of handling large-scale end-to-end testing operations. e2e has also committed to launching its testing infrastructure in 2027 and expanding its forward-deployed engineering practice.
Addressing a Critical Gap in Testing Infrastructure
The funding announcement underscores a growing recognition within the software development industry that existing testing tools were designed for a different era. As artificial intelligence systems increasingly generate code faster than human developers can review it, traditional testing frameworks have become insufficient for modern development workflows.
“Software development is moving into the era of verification engineering,” said Szymon Rybczak, a company representative. “Agents write more code than humans, faster than anyone can check it. And when nobody reads the code, tests are the only check left. The problem is that today’s testing tools were built for a world where people still wrote and reviewed that code. Adding AI features to them is not enough, this calls for a new framework, just like e2e. We are building it from the ground up, in the open, to become the standard for verifying software in this new world.”
Market Opportunity in Verification Engineering
The timing of e2e’s funding reflects broader industry trends. As generative AI models become more prevalent in software development environments, the need for robust testing mechanisms has intensified. The company’s open-source approach positions it to capture mindshare within developer communities while building a standards-based solution rather than a proprietary one.
The investment brings e2e’s total funding to €8.05 million, providing a solid foundation for the company’s expansion plans during a critical growth phase. The capital injection signals investor confidence in both the company’s technical vision and the market opportunity surrounding AI-driven software verification.
European Momentum in Developer Tools
e2e’s seed round reflects ongoing momentum within Europe’s developer tools and SaaS sector. Polish startups have increasingly attracted international investment capital, particularly for infrastructure and tooling solutions that address emerging technical challenges. The involvement of established venture firms like Point Nine and Baobab Ventures, alongside more specialized investors, demonstrates the breadth of support for companies tackling verification challenges in AI-augmented development workflows.
As artificial intelligence continues reshaping software development practices, companies addressing the resulting infrastructure gaps are attracting significant capital and attention from the investment community.
