CyberKord, an Italian cybersecurity startup based in Milan, has closed a €2.7 million pre-seed funding round to accelerate development of its artificial intelligence platform designed to automate IT operations and incident response workflows.
The funding round was led by 360 Capital, with participation from Plus Partners, Addendum Capital, and Vento. This marks the first major capital injection for the company since its founding in 2026.
Automating IT Operations Through Digital Twins
CyberKord’s platform leverages artificial intelligence and digital twins of IT infrastructure to handle cybersecurity and operational incident management autonomously. The technology aims to address a growing challenge facing enterprise IT teams: the expanding complexity of digital environments outpacing the ability of human teams to manage them effectively.
According to CEO Alessandro Maggio, “Companies add infrastructure, software and AI agents every week, and operational work grows faster than any team. We have built an artificial intelligence that performs that work from start to finish and shows every step, allowing teams to focus on architecture, projects and strategic decisions.”
The approach reflects a broader industry trend toward autonomous incident response, where AI systems handle routine operational tasks while providing visibility into their actions, enabling human teams to concentrate on strategic priorities rather than reactive firefighting.
Funding Deployment and Market Expansion
CyberKord plans to deploy the fresh capital across three primary objectives. The company will allocate resources to further developing its AI platform, particularly enhancing its core incident response capabilities and digital twin modeling technology.
Simultaneously, the startup will launch pilot projects with large European enterprises across multiple sectors. The target industries include manufacturing, technology, healthcare, and telecommunications—sectors that typically manage complex, distributed IT infrastructures and face significant cybersecurity pressures.
Additionally, CyberKord will use the funding to expand its technical and commercial staff, building out engineering capabilities for product development and sales teams to drive market adoption across Europe.
European Cybersecurity Landscape
The funding round reflects continued investor confidence in European cybersecurity solutions. With enterprises facing increasing regulatory requirements around data protection and incident response, and the growing sophistication of cyber threats, startups developing automation and AI-driven security tools have attracted growing attention from venture investors.
CyberKord’s focus on automation through AI digital twins positions it within a competitive segment that includes various incident response and IT operations platforms. The company’s emphasis on European pilot projects and its roots in Milan suggest a strategy focused initially on establishing credibility and market presence within the continent before potential broader expansion.
The pre-seed investment demonstrates that founders Alessandro Maggio and the team have convinced experienced investors that their approach to automating IT incident response addresses a genuine and expanding market need among European enterprises managing increasingly complex digital infrastructure.
