Easol, a London-based all-in-one experience-commerce platform, has closed a €26.78 million ($30 million) Series A extension round to accelerate the development and deployment of its new artificial intelligence agent product. The funding round was led by Y Combinator, with participation from Tiger Global, Foundation Capital, FMZ Ventures, Notion Capital, Eight Roads, and Viola Credit.
The capital injection brings Easol’s total funding to €53.57 million since its founding in 2021. The company plans to deploy the funds toward developing and launching Teammates, its newly announced AI-powered agentic tool, while simultaneously expanding the platform’s existing capabilities across bookings, payments, marketing and customer support functions.
Addressing Industry Pain Points
Easol’s platform serves experience businesses—companies offering activities, tours, classes, and similar services—by providing integrated software to manage their operations. According to the company, the sector faces mounting pressure from rising operational costs and compressed margins, challenges that have intensified in recent years.
“We built Easol to give experience businesses control over their entire business and bring their technology in-house,” said Ben Simpson, Co-founder and CEO. “AI is now allowing us to do so much more, with rising costs and tighter margins we can now support experience creators in scaling their business growing revenue in ways we couldn’t have imagined when we first launched the platform in 2021.”
The Teammates Product
Teammates represents Easol’s strategic pivot toward generative AI capabilities. The agent-based tool is engineered to handle routine operational tasks including sales automation, customer support interactions, and day-to-day business operations. By automating these functions, the product aims to enable experience businesses to redirect resources toward growth and revenue expansion rather than administrative overhead.
The launch of Teammates signals broader recognition within the software sector that vertical-specific AI agents can deliver particular value to niche business categories. Experience commerce operators, which often operate with smaller teams than traditional service businesses, stand to benefit significantly from automation tools tailored to their specific workflows.
Expanding Global Presence
Beyond product development, Easol intends to leverage the new funding to expand its customer base across international markets. The company has established itself within the UK startup ecosystem and is now positioned to scale operations globally with backing from prominent venture capital firms.
The funding round underscores sustained investor confidence in the experience-commerce segment and the tooling infrastructure that serves it. With the experience economy continuing its post-pandemic recovery and expansion, platforms addressing operational efficiency in this sector remain attractive to institutional investors seeking exposure to emerging software categories.
