AcouBatt, a London-based deeptech company developing acoustic emission technology for battery diagnostics, has raised £1.1 million in pre-seed funding to accelerate the commercialisation of its AI-powered monitoring system.
The funding round was led by Creator Fund, with Ada Ventures also participating in the investment. The capital will enable AcouBatt to expand its technical team, develop its artificial intelligence models further, and progress its industrial pilot programme with battery manufacturers.
Monitoring Battery Health from Manufacturing to End-of-Life
AcouBatt’s core technology uses acoustic emissions to monitor battery cells during the manufacturing process, providing real-time diagnostic insights that help identify defects and inefficiencies. By analysing sound patterns emitted by batteries, the system aims to reduce formation time—a critical phase in battery production—while improving product quality and safety across the sector.
