London Climate-Tech Startup Isometric Raises €43 Million Series A to Scale Industrial Certification Platform

Isometric, a London-based climate technology company, has secured €43 million ($50 million) in Series A funding to accelerate the expansion of its artificial intelligence-driven industrial certification platform. The round, led by Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), brings the startup’s total funding to €64 million since its founding in 2022.

The financing comes from a diverse investor consortium that includes Acario Innovation, the corporate venture arm of Tokyo Gas, alongside BY Venture Partners, Dubai Future District Fund, Earth VC, Motion Ventures, One Capital, Plug and Play, Verb Ventures, and angel investor Max Junestrand, founder of Legora.

Bridging Finance and Industrial Verification

Isometric has developed technology that addresses a critical gap in industrial decarbonisation: the verification of carbon-related claims across manufacturing and supply chains. The platform uses AI agents to authenticate data points underlying corporate sustainability assertions, transforming unverified claims into certified assets that financial institutions can rely upon.

The startup’s client roster includes major multinational companies such as Microsoft and Boeing, reflecting growing demand from organisations seeking credible third-party validation of their environmental commitments. This market positioning reflects broader industry trends toward substantiation of net-zero pledges amid increasing regulatory scrutiny and stakeholder expectations.

Eamon Jubbawy, a company representative, articulated the investment thesis: “Provable output is financeable output. Our AI agents check every data point behind an industrial claim, turning it into a verified asset. ICE has spent decades building the infrastructure the world’s financial markets depend on, and they’re now backing Isometric to do the same for the industrial economy,” Jubbawy stated.

Expanding Beyond Carbon Removal

The newly secured capital will fund expansion across multiple dimensions of the industrial economy, extending the platform’s scope beyond carbon removal to certify emissions, energy consumption, fuel specifications, and material composition. The funding also supports technological enhancement of the AI-driven certification systems and integration with financial market infrastructure.

This integration strategy reflects recognition that effective industrial decarbonisation requires seamless connectivity between operational data collection, third-party verification, and capital markets infrastructure. By positioning its platform at this nexus, Isometric addresses the infrastructure gap that has historically complicated the financing of climate-related projects.

The backing from Intercontinental Exchange, a globally significant operator of financial infrastructure, signals confidence in this approach. The exchange operator’s participation suggests institutional recognition that industrial decarbonisation demands the same rigorous, standardised verification mechanisms that underpin modern financial markets.

European Cleantech Momentum

Isometric’s funding success reflects continued momentum within the European cleantech sector, particularly among startups addressing industrial decarbonisation and emissions verification. As European regulatory frameworks tighten around corporate sustainability reporting and carbon accounting, demand for reliable certification platforms continues to expand, supporting venture capital investment in this segment of the climate technology market.
